Around the World Ball
2017 Annual Ball
Oh what a night! Studio ARTES travelled AROUND THE WORLD in one night at our 2017 annual ball! We celebrated the cultures of the world, with guests attending dressed as anyone or anything, anywhere from Mexico to Madagascar!
Guests enjoyed a performance from our performing arts members, two-course meal, pop-up games, raffle and auction, and as always lots and lots of dancing. See more images from the Around the World Ball here!

Paint our Studio Day
Annie Sloan paints, Piper & Ross Pymble and Honeybee Homewares joined together to design a mood board, provide support and donate some beautiful paint to help decorate our studio. We painted the studio chairs, reception desk, and a whole host of other fun things!
Thanks to our wonderful supporters and volunteers for helping make this day possible!
Our first dance party in the new studio smashed it out of the park in June! There were non-stop laughs with friends, dancing, socialising and just first-rate good times.
Our house DJs Kid Kermit and DJ Enzyme swung hit after hit at the fiery crowd of enthusiastic dancers. We’re under high demand to put on more parties soon… so watch this space!
Minutes to Memories
Studio ARTES presents a show to remember! The amazing and talented performing arts members and staff live on stage. Audience members explored moments in time as Studio ARTES’ talented performers defied logic and order in a spectaculor variety show which included dance, drama, music and film!

Easter Fashion Parade
The Easter Fashion Parade and High tea was in association with Blue Illusion at Hornsby Westfield. Members of the ‘Style ARTES’ group took to the stage in Blue Illusion’s Autumn-Winter range. Guests enjoyed a preview of the Blue Illusion range on a pop-up catwalk, where the Studio ARTES women modelled the new designs. Guests also enjoyed a high-tea provided by Blue Illusion. 15% of the profits made at Blue Illusion on this day went directly to help support Studio ARTES.
Ebb and Flow Exhibition
Ebb and Flow was a project that brought together Ceramics Students from Hornsby TAFE and artists from Studio ARTES in an exhibition inspired by the Hawkesbury River. The work exhibited featured a variety of media including works on paper, textiles and individual ceramic pieces. As a part of our local environment, the Hawkesbury River has rich visual and historical significance. An exploration of the Hawkesbury inspired theme allowed artists a wide range of expression and which encouraged them to respond to the theme in a way that speaks to them.
This collaborative exhibition celebrated the diverse artistic talent within our community, giving TAFE students valuable experience in collaborating with a local arts organization, and our artists with disability the opportunity to exhibit alongside other artists within the community who focus on a different artistic discipline.
